Tonight We Ride

Tonight We Ride

We continue our series on wicked punk this month with a look at Tonight We Ride's new album "Out Of The West".

This album explores a broad range of the punk category from broadly melodic to more hard hitting. The first thing that strikes me is the roots of the music that mix a traditional rock and roll and country beat with thrashing lyrics.

This mix makes me want to grab a bottle of Jacks finest and turn the knob up. Songs such as "Drink Myself into Oblivion" down right are a call to arms for such an occasion.

Followed behind this are songs like " Prelude To Hell On Earth" which highlights the great musicianship in this band. This is definitely not your thrown together style of punk band. The music is very intriquite and extremely well played.

Lastly you get songs like "Heaven Can Wait" which bring back the roots of Cow Punk and hit you right between the eyes!

Overall this album will appeal strongly to those who enjoy the more harmounous style of punk and rock lovers. It is good from start to finish.I certainly will be adding it to my Ipod rotation for sure!
