KATA and the BLAZE

KATA and the BLAZE

Well folks, though we have METAL runnin' in our hearts on the mountain, the true "Old School" runs in our blood.

KATA and the BLAZE are a very talented bunch that embodies our old traditons, but with a ton of new energy. From the library of "ASS KICK" they pulled tune after tune that had my feet tapping and my lens snapping.

Lately' I've been getting off on my mountain roots as they are not so disimilar to the Head Banging spirit that resides within.

( Let's face it, "hard" a "dark" themes and RAWKus energy was in the folk music of this country long before we graduated our musical efforts to include even Rock-n-roll). This "Ass kicking" spirit is abundant in KATA and the BLAZE.

I watched as they transisted from one song to another like a pack of well seasoned Pros and all the while presenting a "we never want to stop" attitude. Ole Skip found this bunch to be not only techinically and soulfully talented, but also a while damn lot of FUN to watch and experience.

They are the REAL DEAL. Be sure to look them up on MYSPACE or by whatever means you can.
